  DIRECTOR OF GOLF

  Matt has been a British PGA Class A Coach and Instructor for 18 years, garnering a wealth of knowledge through that time. He has also competed on multiple tours across the world and has won many professional golf events, which has further developed his understanding of what it takes for players to be successful in preparing and executing their golfing ambitions. Matt is a certified Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner and has worked with golfers of all ages and abilities, from novice players to touring professionals, including players on the Ladies European Tour European Tour. Developing in-depth coaching programs for golfers to maximize their potential and enjoyment from the game is the soul aim of Matt’s coaching style, and he is especially skilled in short game skill development.

• Daniel Gray
  

  HEAD OF COACHING & PLAYER ENGAGEMENT, Pathos Golf Performance

  A PGA Professional since 2004, Daniel has a pedigree of developing players of all levels from beginners, to juniors, collegiate and PGA Tour players, to reach their full potential. Throughout his established coaching career, he has taught at several top clubs around the country, including: Skokie Country Club, National Golf Links of America, the Onwentsia Club, RedStick Golf Club, Wildcat Academy at Northwestern University, and prior to joining Lake Nona, Most recently, the renowned Sea Island Golf Performance Center in St. Simons Island, Ga., where he started the Player Development Program along with the coaching team.

  A highly accomplished and renowned instructor, Daniel’s recent accolades include: being named Georgia’s 2021 PGA Teacher of the Year, being recognized on Golf Digest’s “Best Teachers In Every State 2022-2023”, and Golf Magazine’s “Teachers to Watch 2024-2025”, and is a recognized “Zen Master” ambassador for Zen Golf. By blending technology with a simple, holistic training approach, Daniel has mastered the ability to create a learning environment suitable for players of all styles. • Lucas Harz
  

  ASSISTANT GOLF COACH, Pathos Golf Performance

  Originally from Grand Haven, Michigan, Lucas moved to Florida as a child and was raised throughout Central and South Florida. After developing a passion for golf instruction, he attended the PGA Golf Management Program at Florida Gulf Coast University where he completed seven teaching internships, learning from some of the most recognized and respected experts in golf instruction. Upon graduating in 2025, Lucas was elected to membership in the PGA of America. Having worked with players of all ages and skill levels, and earning multiple teaching certifications—including Trackman, Swing Catalyst, and 4D Motion—Lucas is fully prepared and committed to providing individualized and group coaching that elevates each player’s game. His approach is rooted in clear communication, tailored feedback, and a deep passion for player development.

• Noah Hume
  

  ASSISTANT GOLF COACH, Pathos Golf Performance

  Having progressed through England’s elite Regional and County Golf Squads, Noah developed a strong foundation in competitive golf and high-performance training from an early age. He earned a golf scholarship to Jacksonville State University, where he competed at the NCAA Division I level. Following his playing career, Noah joined the Jacksonville State Men’s Golf Program as Assistant Golf Coach for the 2023–24 season and continued his professional development at the renowned Sea Island Golf Performance Center, working alongside renowned coaches including Justin Parsons, Gale Peterson, Chan Reeves, David Angelotti, David Errington, Dr. Morris Pickens, Randy Myers, and Tom Hemmings.

  Through his playing and coaching experiences, Noah has developed expertise with industry-leading technologies, such as: TrackMan, Swing Catalyst, SAM PuttLab, and GEARS, to enhance player development and performance. Passionate about skill acquisition and long-term improvement, Noah uses elite coaching principles to individualize training and help players reach their full potential. Currently specializing in advanced putting instruction and performance coaching, Noah builds repeatable systems to improve consistency under pressure to help players lower scores.

  HEAD OF CLUB FITTING & BUILDING, Pathos Golf Performance

  A former standout soccer player through college, competing for Belmont Abbey College, Cortland ultimately chose to channel his athleticism, competitive drive, and dedication into pursuing his lifelong passion for golf, where he enjoys continuing to grow as a fitter, a player, and a competitor. Prior to joining Lake Nona, Cortland played a pivotal role in Research and Development at Foreward Golf, a company leading innovation in modern club design and player optimization. Foreward’s system is unique in the industry, isolating and blind-testing eight key variables of a golf club to measure their true impact on performance. In this role, Cortland merged his hands-on competitive experience with advanced fitting methodologies, sharpening his ability to deliver custom equipment solutions that tangibly elevate a player’s game.

  Cortland pairs a rare blend of player perspective and cutting-edge technical expertise to his role as Head of Club Fitting & Building at Lake Nona’s Pathos Golf Performance,  creating a highly personalized fitting experience.   HEAD OF ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT, Pathos Golf Performance

  With a passion for golf biomechanics, Matt worked as the Director of Fitness at prominent golf academies under Gary Gilchrist and IJGA and he achieved industry recognition with Golf & Body NYC. Recognized as Golf’s Digest’s 2020 “50 Best Golf-Fitness Trainers in America”, Matt has trained players of all levels, ranging from beginners to professionals on the LPGA, Symetra, and Asian Tours. Training golfers and other rotational athletes, Matt’s coaching style caters to individual athlete’s needs and believes training should be goal-specific and shared amongst an athlete’s training and performance team. At Lake Nona, Matt collaborates with the golf coaching and fitting staff to develop patterns in the gym that strengthen and enhance the players’ development and goals.

• Chris Paisley
  

  PUTTING COACH

  A long-time Lake Nona Member, Chris Paisley’s impressive professional golf résumé includes representing Great Britain & Ireland in the 2009 Walker Cup and enjoying a successful career on the DP World Tour. His professional highlights include victory at the 2018 BMW South African Open and a tied-fourth finish alongside Tommy Fleetwood at the 2018 Zurich Classic of New Orleans on the PGA Tour. Through Pathos Golf Performance, Chris provides specialized putting instruction, bringing a level of playing experience and tour insight that very few clubs can offer.

  ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL

  Chris joined Lake Nona as an assistant golf professional in 2022 and is currently enrolled in the PGA of America Program and has been in the golf industry for over 15 years. Originally from upstate New York, Chris played competitive golf in high school and junior college, having competed in back-to-back national championships, and received a golf scholarship to play Division 2 golf at Goldey-Beacom College in Delaware. After college, Chris gained valuable industry experience as an assistant golf professional at Ballamor Golf Club, Atlantic City Country Club, and Blue Heron Pines Golf Club in New Jersey. He looks forward to continuing to compete in amateur and professional golf events, while simultaneously growing his knowledge and skills to advance Lake Nona’s golf programming and further his career in the industry.

• Charles “Chuck” Higby
  

  ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL & TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR

  Chuck Higby is a Level 3 PGA Associate with a specialized focus on teaching and coaching. With a passion for the game of golf, Chuck excels in providing instruction to youth and beginner-intermediate players. His enthusiasm for teaching is evident in his commitment to introducing the game to as many people as possible, fostering a love for golf in each of his students. Chuck’s background as a competitive junior athlete has given him a well-rounded perspective on sports and athleticism. In addition to his expertise in golf, he has a passion for basketball and cross-training, which he incorporates into his holistic approach to teaching. By integrating various athletic disciplines, Chuck helps his students develop a comprehensive understanding of the game, enhancing their overall performance and enjoyment.
